My Turn: I Got COVID

June 27, 2022 by Jose Uzcategui Leave a Comment

Last week I went to one of the biggest conferences I have ever been Collision Conference 2022 – more than 35,000 attendees. The venue was huge. Everyone was excited to get together in what for many of us was the first “post-covid” event. Of course, no one was wearing masks… not the speakers, not the attendees. There was an after party, it was a great 3 days.

Then on the drive back, I knew it: sore throat, a bit feverish and tired… aaaand, I have COVID.

The line that signals if I had COVID had so much virus that almost becomes sentient. The image below is after 4 days with the virus and minimal symptoms.

This test is after 4 days quarantined and feeling OK.

It is unreal how I first shared my thoughts on the pandemic with fear and not thinking I would be getting this more than two years after this was in the news!

Thankfully I have been vaccinated 3 times and the symptoms are very mild. Go vaccines!

And yes, as I am in quarantine, I have some time to write a blog post, even if it is a short one.
