This is a follow up on a previous post targeting Yellow Pages aggressive media camapaign, “360 Solution”.

Soon after publishing the post targeting “Yellow Pages 360 Solutions”, much to my surprise, I ranked top position right away. That was because of the Yellow Pages’ slip-up of not optimizing for these words.

Soon after I ranked there was some discussion on Twitter – I wish I would’ve save the different tweets I saw, because now I can’t find them. But the most relevant one was the involvement of @Zelia_YPG, who manages @Yellowpages_CA.

Soon after the Twiteratti got involved, a new optimized page from Yellow Pages started ranking – as expected.

Before: Ranking on March 24, 2011

AFTER:

After ranking

After: Ranking on April 7, 2011

Still, I got more traffic and information than I thought. Take a look at the report’s keywords 🙂

At the end of the day I think that YP’s involvement in the industry will benefit us all by making SEO and SEM more top of mind for business owners and executives

Good point Carlos, and I agree, their campaign is making lots of awareness on all Internet marketing has to offer 🙂
