A common mistake most of us make when joining Twitter is using twitter.com. Then we discover applications like TweetDeck, go “aaaahhhh,” and start funneling tweets into groups.
I’ve thought of a few ways to organize these groups – numbered (1,2,3,4); US threat-style colours (green, orange, red); descriptive (close friends, news, hot bloggers) – and wonder what people do out there.
What are your TweetDeck groups?
At the moment I have
- All friends – the default.
 - Close – for close friends.
 - News – for news people who Tweet.
 - Direct Messages –
 - Replies –

The following searches:
- vancouvertweetup – I live in Vancouver.
 - jose_u – in case someone mentions me.
 - other company names I’m involved with.
