Trivial Tweets are Okay – Sometimes

Really, sometimes it's okay... and refreshing.

We’ve all complained about it. We all have “that guy” who tweets about nothing valuable. And we all advise those coming onto Twitter to tweet with care.

Well, the other night at the The Vancouver Sales Performance Meetup, I had the all too familiar conversation about non-sense tweets.

Though we all I agreed that people are becoming increasingly less tolerant of these tweeples, trivial tweets should still be a healthy part of your Twitter diet. In fact, we can compare trivial tweets with dessert – it’s fun to have one every now and then. Don’t have any and you might come across as too dry, have too many and you’ll become one of those people others take joy in unfollowing.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that even though we all complain about those people who mostly tweet about the trivial, it’s okay for everyone to do it once in a while. It helps to “make it personal.”

Who do you know has a healthy mix of trivial and valuable tweets ?
