Twitter: To Follow or Not To Follow (Video)

June 10, 2009 by Jose Uzcategui 2 Comments

aclipHere’s my take on following people on Twitter. Though this is what I usually do, lots of people share the same principles.

One thing I didn’t mention on the video is that all numbers are relative to me. For example:

  • 20 updates and 1000 followers = strange
  • 20 updates and 40 followers = fine
  • 100 followers, following 900 = strange
  • 100 followers, following less than around 200 = fine

I am fairly new to twitter but this was a useful reflection of my own experience and I felt like we were talking personally. I would listen/watch more of what you have to say.

Thanks Michael – I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the video! This is my experience to date, but I’m sure Twitter etiquette will change as it gets more popular… it will be funny to see this video in a couple of years.

    Cheers!
