Re: Selling Out on Youtube (Video)

August 5, 2009 by Jose Uzcategui 2 Comments

I came across an article titled “Selling Out on YouTube: vloggers weigh in on brand integration online” by Xiaochang Li, where she mentions a great ongoing conversation on Youtube.

Here’s my take on it:

Thanks to @wilhelmus for tweeting this article. (by the way, is the verb Tweeting or Twitter?)

Very well said. The marketing of products is changing, and everybody needs to adapt. I wonder if the consumer will notice?
    BTW, the verb is “Twittering”…

    Thanks for the comment Leo.

I think it’s natural for the consumer to notice… or it might happen as a natural transition, even if they don’t. I don’t know if people noticed the difference in advertising when TV changed things…

Whatever the case, things are changing again. Especially now that the generation which has used these Web tools since a very young age is starting to enter the workforce, earning money, and becoming capable consumers.

The question is how fast will the corporations notice.

And thanks for the Twittering correction 🙂
